← Back To Arrangements

This arrangement was a pain to get my fingers going, but once the walking bassline comes in, it really makes the tune. This is a short, abbreviated arrangement of how I play it live. Live, I will start with a slow, free version of this chord melody. Then, I’ll bring in the walking bass line.

Notes on Writing:

When creating an arrangement like this, it’s great to start small. Start by getting the chords under your hands. This will help form the rest of the tune. I get asked “Did you write that in one go?” The answer is absolutely not. Walking bass lines take a while to develop and require starting small, and SLOW.
