Update 2021: I'm still here - I'm just incredibly busy with Fralin Pickups. This site is a side-project of sorts, and Fralin Pickups is my main focus. Plus, my wife and I just moved into our new home, so that's been keeping my attention buoyed as well. Thanks for your understanding.
About:
👋 I'm Tyler. I wear many hats. Along with playing guitar, I am the Manager of Fralin Pickups. Along with managing the day-to-day operations, I am responsible for our website and its content, including the design, articles, graphics, product photography, and more. I am a true believer in Fralin Pickups and our products.
Outside of guitar, I enjoy learning about website design (I built this website from scratch), graphic design (I made my own logo) and generally anything "techie".
Along with all of that, I'm a husband to the most amazing woman in the world and a proud cat dad!
Hire Me!
If you're a restaurant, wine bar, cigar bar, retirement home, or wedding venue located around Richmond, VA, I would be honored to provide music for your establishment and patrons. Your customers will be able to enjoy their meal with a non-intrusive, yet recognizable performance. I believe in blending in and matching the vibe of the evening, and letting your customers do what they come to do - eat, drink and socialize. If you believe we will be a good fit for each other, please contact me and I'll get back to you within 12-24 hours.
Gear:
For the curious, my main guitar is an Eastman El Rey ER-2 or Heritage H-535, loaded with a Lindy Fralin P-92, which I believe is the perfect pickup for Jazz. I run direct to a Fender Deluxe Reverb. I use Thomastik Infeld Round Wound 13's, and Fender 347 Picks. That's it!
When recording, I mic the deluxe reverb with a Sennheiser e609, and the strings with a AKG P170. I record through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 into Logic.
Filming: Logitech Streamcam and Final Cut Pro software.
